Fake news about CEO pay

We all know CEOs make hundreds of time what the average worker earns, right?

We may think we know, but we often don’t. Why might we believe this erroneous tidbit of misinformation? Because that’s what some politicians and the press what to build their policies on; the envy and division they can create among Americans.

You are being manipulated with highly selective misinformation.

Take a look at this Google search. See the headlines. Too bad it’s not true.

“Bosses, “CEOs”❓ Nope, they are referring only to CEOs of S&P 500 companies and they are not talking about pay, but total compensation that includes salary and bonuses, but mostly at risk stock compensation such as options where estimated value relies on a mathematical pricing model called Black Scholes and in many cases the total compensation also includes the future value of a pension.
