In another move demonstrating the willingness of Congress to intervene in the public sector, the Senate Finance Committee has voted to limit tax deductible compensation for executives of insurance companies that get significant business as a result of health care reform. Hmmm how about a limit on physicians who get significant business from health care reform, or drug companies. The Committee also noted that by 2017 the legislation will result on what amounts to a $40 billion tax cut. All your premiums are going down because there will be no uninsured. Okayyyyyy.
In another provision doctors who order tests that place them in the 90th percentile would have Medicare payments lowered by 5%. I thought this was reform for all Americans
Not to worry the AMA and AARP support health care “reform “. Besides, is there any reason to believe that the people writing this stuff don’t know what they are doing?
