This administration apparently delights in carrying the big stick and using it while clearly not speaking softly. It seems only the federal government can cut costs, raise costs for everyone and shift costs from itself.
First it was pharma, then insurers, then employers and now employers once again as the new grandfathering rules effectively make it impossible for employers to manage health care costs.
Every American should worry about these tactics and the consequences they will have on them as individuals.
This is a continuation of the absurd logic that the cause of health care costs is premiums and that merely forcing employers and insurers to not raise premiums will somehow make health care “affordable.” Actually, there will be a price to pay because delaying needed increases, avoiding the management of health care costs will only make it worse in years ahead when the real bill comes due. Employers are not going to allow their costs to continue to escalate and if they cannot deal with the issue now, they will when it is much worse. Employees are going to be the real losers.
