End of life planning now out of HHS regulations

If you ever wanted evidence that politicians cannot deal with issues in the best interest of all Americans, here it is.  The Obama Administration is deleting the end-of-life planning as part of an annual physical under Medicare.  This service was excluded from PPACA over nonsense about death panels and government making life and death decisions.  Instead, the service was placed in regulations recently issued by HHS.  Now they are gone again.

These are the political animals that many Americans want to have more say in everything from the type of lightbulb we use, to the cars we drive to how we use our corn.  Common sense says that end of life planning is, well, common sense.  Politics says let’s not give our opponents something to crow about.

What a sad state of affairs indeed.
