Between 2001 and 2011 the cost of a public and private college education increased 92%. During the same period the consumer price index increased 27%. Ninety-two percent is also greater than the cumulative growth in medical care costs.
Isn’t it curious that the “experts” in academia are the ones who have the most to say and are the most listened to when it comes to economics, policy, business, taxes, debt and deficits and just about anything else?
I guess when your key employees work a couple of hours a day, a few days a week, have assistants to share the burden while running their consulting/advisory business and writing articles for profit somebody has to pay for such a lifestyle. Nice work if you can get it.
