After all the hoopla, the billions spent, penalties and fees, after Obamacare is fully implemented in 2014 it is estimated there will still be 30,000,000 uninsured Americans, thirty million. About 7,000,000 are expected to use the new health insurance exchanges next year.
So, about 2.5% of Americans will get coverage through the exchanges we have been fighting about for three years and 10% will still have no health insurance, mostly by choice.
What’s wrong with this picture?

Dick,
What is wrong with the picture is a whole cadre of obstructionist Republicans from Governors to federal Legislators who have done and continue to do all they can to try to make the law fail. To illiustrate I refer you to Saturday 8/3 and a front page NY Times article describing the efforts of two states Colorado and I beleive it was Missouri. One has done much and will be ready to enable it’s citizenry to enroll while the other has done nothing and actually is making it near impossible for those interested to do so. I know you blogged on this very subject just a few days ago and I think Americans need to realize the enormous harm this approach has done. WE are in need of legislators who really want to govern not merely dis-lodge the opponents. To that end I concur with your opinion that we need to set term limits.
Bob
