I have tried several times to use live chat on healthcare.gov to get answers to what I believe are simple questions, in the latest attempt below; the answer is yes or no. However, as you can see from the conversation below, you are either talking to a programmed machine, a person under instructions not to actually answer questions or a incompetent person … take your pick.
By the way, it appears you cannot learn about your state plans or their prices unless you go through the entire process, provide all your personal information and the system checks you out.
I’m still looking.
What’s the answer to my question, yes or no?
Why the big secret kept from us?
DONT FORGET TO COMPLETE OUR LATEST POLL

The inability to browse plans without entering personal information appears to be State by State. In Oregon I can enter basic demographic info only and browse a list of plans. So, this problem seems to a New Jersey problem (and maybe other States) and has nothing to do with the Feds, so not surprising they can’t give you an answer.

You may be right, but they could still give an answer. It may only be a problem with federal run exchanges too.

I have been told that you cannot find out which
Docs/Hospitals etc are participating providers
in any of the available plans? Is that correct? How
does one sign up if you don’t know whether your
Doc is in the plan. Seems like a major problem
if no one knows who is participating. Your comments?

Actually I checked in healthcare. Gov and was told that each plan in an exchange has a link to participating providers. So, you can check before you enroll.
