So you don’t think the “war on women” is political?

Consider this from Politico:

COURTING WOMEN WITH COMPETING BILLS – “Senate Democrats and Republicans are angling hard for a political advantage with female voters before they leave Washington for their August recess, with each party trying to use reproductive issues to score points,” reports Pro’s Paige Winfield Cunningham, updating the latest “war on women” moves. Both parties are pushing bills in response to the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision. The Democrats’ bill, slated for a test vote this afternoon, would essentially reverse the ruling. The GOP bill simply reaffirms that employers can’t stop employees from using their own money to buy contraception. Members also sparred yesterday at a Judiciary Committee hearing on a measure offered by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) that would up-end hundreds of state abortion restrictions. – NEW ADS FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD – The group is releasing digital ads today targeting Senate candidates who support the Hobby Lobby decision: Thom Tillis in North Carolina, Cory Gardner in Colorado, Joni Ernst in Iowa, Dan Sullivan in Alaska as well as Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott. 1. The usage of the ‘WAR ON WOMEN’ is purely Political and the Democrats are only interested in garnering votes. They could care less about how women really feel. They want their votes.
