Open enrollment on the federal healthcare exchanges is going to be confusing

Drawing on my nearly fifty years experience designing and administering group health plans, I’m trying to relate that experience to the millions of Americans seeking to continue or newly enroll in coverage for 2015. It’s not easy. Healthcare.gov now has information about the enrollment process and now is the time for affected individuals to start reading (but of course, the vast majority won’t – again based on experience).

Do I have to do anything to keep the coverage I have in 2014? NO‼️

Will the coverage I have now be different in 2015? MAYBE ‼️

Do I have to report changes in my income? MAYBE ‼️

Will the government automatically adjust my premium subsidy? MAYBE ‼️

Is that all 100% clear? Do you know what you need to do? I can tell you one thing for sure, doing nothing is not an option.

Here is a page from healthcare.gov read it carefully. I have made a few notations about some things that confuse me.
