President Obama is addressing the nation tonight about the actions he’s taking to help fix our broken immigration system.
That’s exactly what he said he would do — to take action within his authority as president where Congress has refused to act.
It’s been more than 500 days since the Senate passed a comprehensive, bipartisan reform bill, and the House has shown no signs of movement. Every day we fail to act, it’s taking a toll on our country and our economy. Millions of families who want to play by the rules have no choice but to live in the shadows.
Here is the state of America today. Here is how the Obama left thinks. Perhaps that’s your point of view as well, but if so, this rationalizing is taking us down a dangerous road.
“Millions of families who want to play by the rules have no choice but to live in the shadows.” Play by the rules you say? Exactly what rules do they want to play by, the rules that say they entered this Country illegally and perhaps other rules governing what they are not supposed to do while here illegally?
There seem to be right ways to solve a problem and then there are the liberal ideology ways to create the impression of solving a problem. It’s funny how 500 days to wait for legislation is intolerable and yet 2,150 days of this Administration have passed and no sincere effort to fix Social Security has been put forward.
It makes you wonder where our priorities are and why … or at least it should. 😳
