And you wonder why we hesitate accepting this government’s numbers?

Consider this from a CMS a press release December 1, 2014:

“Other Affordable Care Act initiatives to improve care and reduce costs have helped reduce hospital readmissions in Medicare by nearly 10 percent between 2007 and 2013 – translating into 150,000 fewer readmissions – and quality improvements have resulted in saving 15,000 lives and $4 billion in health spending during 2011 and 2012.”

Keep in mind that the Affordable Care Act was signed into law March 23, 2010 with hardly any ability to impact costs from 2007 and no impact to reduce costs even yet. But of course quality improvements mere months after the massive law was signed has saved 15,000 lives.

It is this kind of rhetoric that undermines the credibility of government.
