The President of the United States is underpaid‼️

Ummm, can I afford a beer with that grilled cheese?

Yes, it’s true. The President’s compensation is grossly inadequate for the job. Would you take that responsibility 24- hours a day for a mere $33,333 a month … seriously, would you?

And then to add insult to injury, if you want a grilled cheese sandwich as a late night snack, you get billed (and for all the other food you eat as well).  No wonder presidents take other perks from friends, make book deals and talk so much for a fee when they leave office. They don’t get paid enough to retire with dignity. Their pension is about half their salary.

Hey, just adjusting that 1909 $75,000 salary for general inflation the President should be making over $1,770,507 a year.

Being underpaid doesn’t stop at McDonalds or Walmart😢

  1. The Presidents pay is a proforma benefit to make the title seem like a real job. If the pay was $10.00 per annum, you would have the same cast of characters vying for the spot. Did Mitt Romney run because he was afraid he couldn’t make his mortgage payments?

  2. Underpaid? Then, why do so many leave office multimillionaires (other than the Clinton’s who were broke and in debt, right, sure).

Underpaid? No, way too many are overpaid – you want to adjust for inflation, I want to adjust based on pay for performance.

    1. Have to agree with you on Pay for Performance. If we did that Obama would probably owe the US government each year. Many corporations pay there execs based on performance. In some cases they even get fired for non performance. HUM!!!!

    2. Pay for performance would be fine if you could define it. Obama got a performance review and was re-elected and yet less than have of Americans have consistently approved his performance. Besides I wasn’t referring to this President, but rather the office of President.

      1. yes I understand you referred to Presidents in general. I took exception to just this guy! Oh well we will never see a pay per performance in our life time.
