Wait until after you have an “accident” before you buy insurance

Hey, it makes perfect sense to me, why would you want to buy insurance before you actually need it? Besides, since someone else is paying a big chunk of the premium there is even more reason to wait. Why should you care about how your behavior affects others? Irresponsible behavior has its rewards. 😳

What I don’t understand is why these women are not already covered as a family with their husband. Oh silly me, sorry for the 1950s thinking, you don’t need a husband to have a baby do you?

🔻Number of live births to unmarried women: 1,595,873
🔻Birth rate for unmarried women: 44.3 births per 1,000 unmarried women aged 15-44 years
🔻Percent of all births to unmarried women: 40.6%

And they are not all unintended.

Gotta go, on my way to cancel my auto and homeowners insurance …………… until I know I will need them.  😛

Here’s a clue “advocates,” 100% of cancers, heart disease, and any other disease are “unintended” too‼️

Advocates Want Obamacare Available To Pregnant Women Any Time

By Phil Galewitz February 18, 2015

The Obama administration often touts the health benefits women have gained under the Affordable Care Act, including the option to sign up for coverage outside of open enrollment periods if they’re “having a baby.”

imageBut advocates complain the special insurance enrollment period begins only after a birth. As a result, uninsured women who learn they are pregnant outside of the regular three-month open enrollment period, which this year ended Sunday, can get stuck paying thousands of dollars for prenatal care and a delivery — or worse, going without  care.

The advocacy groups, including the March of Dimes, Planned Parenthood and Young Invincibles, are asking the administration to allow women to sign up whenever they become pregnant – a change opposed by the insurance industry. They say they’ve sought the change unsuccessfully for several years.

Cynthia Pellegrini, senior vice president of March of Dimes, notes that about half of pregnancies are unintended. And women often can’t predict when they will have a challenging pregnancy requiring more services.
