Everyone should own a house

As the Obama administration enters the home stretch of its second term, it isn’t shrinking from criticism of its push to expand mortgage access and homeownership for hundreds of thousands of Americans. WSJ 3-27-15

So, now you can buy a home with as little as 3.5% down, with low interest rates and the administration wants to further lower fees.

Every house I purchased required 20% down with mortgage rates between 7.5% and 9-3/4 … That was in the good old days.

What are these ideologues thinking? Didn’t we learn our lesson in the past? Home ownership is not a right, it’s a goal to be earned fairly. Remember, the root cause of the last recession was government policy that promoted, encouraged and enabled sub-prime lending.
