Here is a sample COBRA premium for single coverage with a $1500 deductible; $868.64 per month. This is a plan in the Northeast. As you may know, COBRA premiums are 100% of the cost plus 2%.
For many companies open enrollment is coming up. Beginning November 1, open enrollment for Obamacare exchanges will begin.
A word to the wise, if you are paying for COBRA coverage, it may be worth your while to check out your local Obamacare exchange. You will have a broader choice, quite possibly lower premiums and perhaps a premium subsidy as well.
