On June 24 the stock market crashed. As of now the market futures show an even bigger decline on June 27 (who knows?).
What do you do with your 401k?
I can’t tell you what to do, but I will take a stab at what not to do?
Don’t panick! Don’t sell your equities and thereby guarantee any losses. In other words, don’t make the same mistake you may have made in 2008.
Or, perhaps do as I did. I moved a chunk of money from stable value to market index funds, but I don’t plan on withdrawing money other than my RMD for several years.
The most important thing is not to take steps that make you worse off than making no changes. This too shall pass.
