Early reports of premium increase requests are not good. Many are in double digits, some way into double digits.
The creative “solution” in one state is to set up a tax-funded reinsurance pool to artificially hold down premium increases. Yeah, that’s the answer. 🤔
Until we recognize that the problem is not health insurance premiums, but health care spending, we will make no progress.
