Fear of malpractice does add to health care, but that’s not what you should be most concerned about

A new study indicates that fear of malpractice lawsuits causes more tests to be done in hospitals and adds up to 5% to health care costs.

No doubt you are concerned about costs, but receiving unnecessary tests and the risks that sometimes go along with tests should be a bigger concern.
