Clues Left by a Killer Echo Widespread Anger at Health Insurers

So reads a Wall Street Journal headline.

This begs the question, how do Americans want to pay for their health care.

  • They don’t want to spend their money- even for relatively minor expenses
  • They want someone else to take the risk, but not make any money
  • They want quality care, but with little idea how to define that other than more of it at high prices
  • They don’t want high premiums or taxes
  • They don’t want to wait for care
  • They don’t want restrictions on accessing care or selecting a provider
  • They don’t want anyone approving care or denying to pay for it.
  • They don’t want the government involved.

Quite a conundrum isn’t it?

Yes, dealing with an insurance company can be a hassle and frustrating. They do screw up as do providers submitting the claim. Insurance companies are other Americans doing their jobs, but it can never satisfy all the above criteria.

65% of working Americans with employer benefits are in a self-insured plan. It’s their employer concerned with costs, not an insurance company.

What are Americans willing to give up for what they expect and want?

  1. haven’t we been taught by the left that we should expect a free lunch and those rich folks need to pay their fair share–except for Hunter Biden—just wave the magic wand and prescription drugs for Medicare folks are suddenly reduced–free lunch??

Let’s cancel student loans of a dollar amount–why should they pay–let the working blue collar guy/gal pay–some folks deserve a free lunch and it ain’t the low IQ folks you told us about Thanksgiving day.

let’s not forget the free lunch of Obamacare–you get great health care for $2,,500 and you get to keep your doctor–if it sounds too good to be true maybe it is–and I guess it was.

you should be thrilled about DOGE–they will give a report on programs to be cut or eliminated–I think Elon and partner were listening when I said “PBS” and “Planned Parenthood”–I know, it’s just a skin prick but we begin with low hanging fruit.
