Violence As Policy in Trump’s America

Jan-Werner Mueller

“Trump may well lift all restraints on his followers – after all, he himself has felt completely unconstrained in his second term, not even pretending to stick to legality, let alone norms about how to treat political adversaries in a democracy. He probably believes his undemocratic conduct is justified because the other side supposedly weaponized the Justice Department to put him in prison; so it is only fair that he seeks to punish them now with charges like ‘mortgage fraud.’

Once again, Trump is not the perpetrator but the victim. And he has an entire grievance-industrial complex on his side. From Fox News to talk radio, his propagandists tell their audiences that they are right to feel resentful. Victimhood can be turned into a justification for violence

Victimhood?? you mean like gays–lesbians–LTGBQ folks–women–disabled–minorities–transsexuals-not too long ago on the party website they had them all listed but nothing about MEN–no wonder they did so poorly with men.

the party of victims is the out of power folks–the party spending millions to be schooled on how to talk to their fellow citizens–the same ones who were given a list of banned words they should not be using around regular folks.

How stupid must you be to have to be schooled on how to talk to people? I guess there is no pill for stupid or the lefties could save some $

what is it about these folks that make them so weird and violent–see what they just did last semester and earlier to Jews on college campuses–just think if these were MAGA folks doing that–what an uproar there would have been—

watch what happens when conservatives are invited to speak on a college campus–the left wing brown shirts go into full attack mode—why listen and debate when you can wreck the venue?

Brother Mueller is good for a laugh. Satisfies your TDS for today.

  2. Brazil set the example of how to deal with an aspiring autocrat. They succeeded where the U.S., Turkey, Venezuela all failed. If we had acted appropriately and convicted Trump for his attempted coup, we would be dealing with a normal Republican administration now.
