Stop rationalizing, excusing, justifying, Donald Trump’s behavior as a person, a politician or our president – by pointing out what Biden, Obama or anyone else did.
That is whataboutism”.
Whataboutism is a form of logical fallacy where a person deflects criticism by pointing out similar, and often more severe, wrongdoing by another person or group. The person using this tactic is essentially saying, “You’re criticizing me for X, but what about when you/they did Y?”
It’s childish.
It’s a way of avoiding taking responsibility for one’s actions by shifting the focus and creating a false moral equivalency. The implication is that since others have also done something wrong, the speaker’s own behavior or this care Donald Trump’s is somehow excusable or not as bad.

Don’t rely on what I or anyone else says about Trump.
Read and listen to what he says, writes and does. The names he calls others who oppose him like calling a member of Congress “scum” or the Chairman of the Fed “stupid.” Or belittling the previous president even after the election was over.
Examine his past behavior before and after being in office. For example, look at how he has leveraged his position of power and influence to enhance his family fortune by $3 or more billion dollars by some estimates. And no, nobody has done what he has done.
Let’s talk his policies.
Does putting the military on our streets solve the problem of crime? It may suppress street crime, but it does not address the causes of crime and when the army leaves what happens?
Is using tariff revenue to enact tax cuts that actually increase the deficit a good policy while at the same time reducing ACA premium subsidies for tens of millions of Americans resulting in premium increases of about 75% good policy?
Is it true only criminals and terrorists are among undocumented residents are being deported? No, it isn’t.
Is it considering the long term adverse consequences by building a wall and mass deportation or charging $100,000 for certain visas for the talent and workers we need? Wouldn’t a program to have immigration work to our benefit be more prudent?
Shouldn’t plans to preserve Social Security and Medicare be a priority? And yet there is virtually silence from this administration. The fact previous administrations also ignored these issues is not an excuse, especially given we are told we are making America great.
If not for its people, who?

Unfortunately, since President Obama changed the rules with his “pen and a phone” rejection of the US Constitution, and since Harry Reid crapped all over the fillibuster rule, subsequent presidents and Senate majorities have followed that lead.
Didn’t see any of this crap when George W. Bush was in office, nor Clinton prior to him.
That’s not “whataboutism”, it is following the lead of President Obama who has stretched the authority of the Executive Branch, while Congress has given up its power because of partisan emasculation.
The idiot ass Trump’s language and mannerisms are something else.
But, his actions, so far, have clear precedents – some will be sustained following litigation, others will be reversed by the courts.
But, unlike President Obama, who conceded he did not have the power to waive immigration law regarding so-called DACA children and yet decided to screw over clear requirements of immigration law (still in the courts, ruled unconstitutional earlier this year in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals) and unlike President Biden who tried to forgive student debt even after the Supreme Court told him the executive branch did not have the power – Trump has yet to ignore court decisions or clear requirements that are part of existing laws.
You and I may not like how he runs the executive branch, the executive actions he takes, let alone the crap spewing from his idiot ass mouth, but, the precedents were set by folks in the office before him.

Yes, his verbiage is horrible…
Like seriously proposing military action inside other countries to attack cartels, and blowing civilian boats out of international waters. There is no one to tell him no. And Trump has the nuclear codes.
Think he won’t use them?
Forget Biden.

Childish, but true. Were you in a coma during the Biden years?

I cried, literally, when I saw Trumps ‘eulogy’ of Charlie Kirk. Could not talk. I am very afraid.

Just what are you afraid of?
Whataboutism is nothing more than a way of saying where were you when this was happening under the previous folks–when it was you there was no issue of going after folks you despised and now the shoe is on the other foot and we hear the whining.
when folks said nothing about millions crossing illegally, the mental issues the former president was experiencing, the lawlessness that was so evident against Trump–ever hear of a state attorney general appealing to folks to elect her and she would find a crime and work to convict a citizen . I think Jack referred to it as something seen under Stalin and Beria.
It’s a form of looking back to remind you that this is nothing new–we have seen it before–it is not childish–the lefties don’t want to look back unless it Jan. 6 or Epstein.
what a hoot–Quinn talking about taking responsibility–like Russian collusion–the “fine people” farce (see Snopes)–the huge deficit run up by the corpse with his give away checks to all, and that phony Inflation Reduction Act. What a joke!!!
ACA premiums??? no tell it’s not true?? Subsidies during the pandemic are being done away with? I thought it was all just temporary–help folks in time of need and then when times improved back to the original–that’s right the old bait and switch to win votes–once those premiums were subsidized never will they, or should they, lose them. Well, these are the same folks who built the SS system with added benefits and no desire to fund them–another free lunch.
Crime solved by our military on the streets–pray tell what are the “causes of crime”? I say babies having babies a major cause as it results in poverty and in so many cases no male in the house. Go ahead list the ways we can solve crime and how they have worked in Newark as an example.
Just think if you and your friends hadn’t allowed 10, 000,000 to cross illegally mass deportation of illegals might not have happened–they say 30,000,000 illegals are here–if you are here illegally you should have a problem. We love immigrants–legal ones that is!!!
Building a wall is a helpful deterrent as well as being deported. Ask yourself why illegal crossings have plummeted since January 21? I know, with you guys common sense is not so common, so it might take a while to figure it out. Didn’t the other party have a majority in the House and Senate a few years ago–what was their program to fix illegals from crossing issue?
When you equally criticize other folks for not fixing SS and Medicare you have some credibility–the fact that you pile on one and not another is the example of a political hack. Both parties have failed–people have become accustomed to a “free lunch” so what do you expect?
Yes, his verbiage is horrible–no excuses–but it pales in comparison to the lefties and their use and image of Hitler–Nazi–fascists–now that childish and dangerous.
