He gave his life holding the Union together. A decent, humble, honest man who struggled with personal grief and who spoke in brief, simple terms to all Americans, who rejected revenge in favor of the common good.
And now what have we been burdened with?
A man with no sense of the common good focused on revenge, on silencing the opposition.
A man who bullies and insults people with name calling. A man who never heard the word humble and cannot put a three word sentence together coherently.
A man who speaks without thinking.
A man who simply makes up “facts” and lies without restraint.
A man who plans nothing, but simply acts and has no concern or concept of the consequences of his actions.
A man whose entire focus is on self-importance and accolades.
Mr Lincoln has much to weep about.
