Big insult❓

Trump has stated that it would be a “big insult” to the United States if he does not receive the Nobel Peace Prize, especially considering his self-proclaimed role in ending multiple global conflicts.

This guy is one sick, self-absorbed egomaniac.

He doesn’t deserve to win, but if he doesn’t, I’m guessing a 200% tariffs on Volvos and no doubt Swedish meatballs will be banned. I love Swedish meatballs, my great grandfather was Swedish😢

MAGA protesters will encircle IKEA😎

I have no doubt though he will do the honorable thing and send warm, sincere congratulations to the winner. 🙄

  1. Should they actually stop shooting each other in Gaza, tell me, what other peacemaking have you seen in the past few years?

Tell me again, why President Obama won the Nobel Peace Price in 2009?

    Wikipedia states it as:

“… for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”…. Obama’s promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a “new climate” in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world”

Give me a break. “International diplomacy” – see Egypt, Syria, ISIS, Iran, etc. “nuclear nonproliferation” – where? “new climate … Muslim world.” – that’s a joke right? … what peace did he achieve, who stopped shooting, fighting?

Compared to Trump 1, where we have the Abraham accords – bilateral agreements signed between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco in 2020 and 2021, Obama did nothing.

In the second Trump Administration, credit must be given to his efforts in resolving and moderating disputes between Israel and Iran, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Pakistan and India, though Indian leaders would refute that claim.

In 2024, they gave the Nobel Peace Prize to Nihon Hidankyo, a set of survivors of Hiroshima, “for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons and for demonstrating through witness testimony that nuclear weapons must never be used again”. Someone should remind everyone that 70 – 85 million humans died during WWII because those same Japanese along with Germans and Italians favored or supported war. Citizens of all three of those countries got off easy given the damage and deaths they caused.

And, while people may disagree, thank God for the atomic bomb and Truman’s decision to use it to end the war without invading the Japanese mainland. It was a lifesaving decision – millions of lives … millions of us, Americans and Japanese, wouldn’t be here today but for Truman.
