Is it really possible for people to be so ignorant about Medicare? Apparently so.

I have to stop reading this stuff – example below.

I am becoming addicted and the level of ignorance and stupidity is driving me nuts.

Look at the screen shot below that 1400 people ❤️.

What happened to all the money taken from your check? It was used to pay claims for hospital care you idiot.‼️

I paid $98,000 in Medicare taxes from 1965 until I retired in 2010. My employer paid the same. Since I retired in 2010 Medicare has paid over $300,000 in hospital charges on our behalf. That’s where the money goes.

A lot of ignorance out there

In addition, Medicare Part B has paid over $100,000 thousand in claims for physician and other outpatient services. The standard premium for Part B covers only 25% of the actual cost, the balance comes from general federal revenue.

That’s where the money goes, that’s why it’s insurance.

You don’t have to. They, who is they anyway? Hey, if you don’t want Medicare Part B or D, don’t take it, don’t pay the premiums just be empowered personally responsible as Mr Trump says.

The logic, explain the logic 😱

From the 2025 Medicare Trustees Report and related analyses: In 2024, total Medicare expenditures exceeded $1,122 billion, with Part A around $422 billion (or roughly 1.5% of GDP in projections around that time).

Part B has been the faster-growing component, projected at about 1.9% of GDP in 2025, reflecting higher spending on physician services, outpatient care, and Part B-covered drugs.
