Here’s the word from the White House, sounds pretty good does it not; makes you wonder how this is possible simply because insurance companies are aggregated online. No, it’s not competition.
It’s the ability for people under 30 to buy catastrophic and high out of pocket cost coverage, it’s the federal tax credit based on income, it’s the fact the numbers include Medicaid eligibility and it’s because your health plan is being charged new fees to provide stop loss coverage to insurers offering coverage on the marketplace. Now you know the rest of the story.
You can make anything affordable if someone else is paying or if you redefine “cost.” The $50 a month assumes these young people incur no medical bills in a year because if they do, there will be substantial upfront costs.

Less than a cable bill
It’s no secret that the health care website hasn’t worked as well as it’s supposed to. But Obamacare is giving millions of Americans across the country access to quality, affordable coverage for the first time.
Today there’s some great news from a Department of Health and Human Services report: Nearly half of single, uninsured Americans between 18 and 34 will be able to get health coverage for $50 a month or less.
