John F Kennedy

I was never a fan of John Kennedy no doubt influenced by my youth and biased family back in those days. I viewed him as an extreme liberal. In recent years I have read more and more of his political views. I have listened to speeches and read quotes. I have changed my view on his politics. Even if you disagree with him and fairly recognize his faults, I for one would welcome a John Kennedy today.

He had a realistic vision, he was uplifting, inspiring. He promoted the best of America and for America and I can find nothing of him focusing on tearing down, of scapegoating, of blaming others, of divisive talk. He favored lower taxes, prudent spending and doing for rather than taking from government.

Of course, that was the early 1960s. In the late 60s everything began to change and today we pay the price with a “me” materialist, entitlement society being told who they should blame.

  1. you are correct…..in retrospect many might consider him somewhat conservative and i would argue no different than a mitt romney.(who by current conservative standards is seen as rino)…but hey we didn’t get very far with mitt did we?

  2. Definately agree with you on this side. I would welcome just about anyone vs. what we have now. This guy is the worst of the worst. Kennedy had direction and was a leader. Far from what we have now.
