Whether it’s Starbucks(r) or Duncan Donuts (r) or the local convenience store, how much do you spend each day on coffee? 🍩
I sat in a Starbucks for an hour or so recently and observed the purchases and was amazed at what people spent, so I’m just curious. Perhaps you are too ☕️.

I am an admitted java junky. particularly so when i smoke cigars……”im good for 3-4 cups a day….and spend between 4-5 bucks a day on coffee. i am particularly hooked on starbucks dark roast…..but am not a daily drinker of it. It is a bit over priced i feel.
the trick is to get a decent cup of coffee at a reasonable price……its a question of where to go and what brand coffee is brewed as well…..I think white castle is pretty good for the price….since they opened in the late 20ies they have sold more coffee hands down (with exception of starbucks that operates internationally). The problem is it seems that every-time i go, i have to wait for them to make another pot.
I would put mac donalds in the middle somewhere, like wc they brew their own brand. Wendy’s is not bad either….both, sell large size for 99 cents…..a good deal. 7-11, i would put a notch lower….in some stores its pretty good in others not so much……i would absolutely stay away from quick check…..always bad and watered down to much…..and almost as expensive as starbucks to boot….
then there is duncan donuts as well……imho….not as good as starbucks and just as pricy. it does( like starbucks.)….have a distinctive taste. lately i have been going to a local retail chain…..called” food for life”. kind of like a whole foods just around the corner. they use “law coffee”…a great brand…….dollar a cup -any size after 1pm.
than there is the buy and grind your own beans approach…..some of my friends swear by it…gets pricy as well. while to much of anything is usually not a good thing….the research on coffee consumption seems to be all over the place….some studies showing benefits others saying its detrimental…..drink up!
