In New York there is legislation pending to allow illegal immigrants to vote (with some minimum requirements like they escaped the law for three years). Think about that, individuals breaking the law of the United States, but being allowed to vote in local and State elections. Now there is a message for our children. Guess who is pushing that? Democrats of course. Because why? Well, who do you think these folks would send their votes of gratitude to?
Los políticos son insultantes americanos con herencia hispana.
All this while Republicans are bashed over voter IDs on the basis they are trying to discourage voters (like illegal immigrants) who are likely to vote for the opposition. See comments on this topic on this blog.

But what does this all matter? Voters generally lack the common sense to send a strong message about the type of people we want representing us. Moral, ethical or even criminal failings apparently don’t disqualifying you from serving in Congress if you make the right promises. On the other hand, giving your kid a smack on the butt can get you fired (don’t worry, I’m exaggerating and don’t condone child whipping). 😢
Voters have no cause to complain about Congress; they put them there and worse, they keep them there‼️

For the bad boys of Congress, 2014 is shaping up to be an awfully good year.
As they endure humiliating headlines, damaging federal investigations and tough scrutiny of their personal lives, scandal-tarred lawmakers aren’t just surviving this midterm year. In many cases, they’re thriving.
By any traditional standard of acceptable behavior for politicians, they should be dead men walking. Instead: Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-Tenn.), a physician who was revealed to have once impregnated a patient and then asked her to get an abortion, won his primary and is a virtual lock to win reelection.
