In her speech last week at the Brookings Institution, National Security Adviser Susan Rice made this priority clear: “Before I go through the elements of this strategy, I want to note how our approach may differ from what others may recommend. We believe in the importance of economic growth, but we insist upon investing in the foundations of American power: education and health care; clean energy and basic research.” From Daniel Henninger Op-Ed WSJ 2-19-15
National security? The above is all well and good as long as it is integrated with the world in which we live. Can we say that the Obama Administration understands the importance of the rest of the world, the threats facing it and the leadership role the United States should be playing? The track record is not encouraging.
