Republicans want to cut spending on entitlent programs. Democrats want to expand entitlement programs.
How does blindly going in either direction make any sense or demonstrate improvement for anyone?
Why isn’t our goal and all of our efforts aimed at making fewer Americans in need of such programs; in decreasing, not increasing participation by making such programs less necessary?
Arbitrarily cutting these programs hurts those truly in need. Arbitrarily expanding these programs ignores the fundamental problems and creates more and more dependency.
