The officials in Baltimore and beyond are seeking justice. Ok, that’s fine.
At the same time we are told the Baltimore police are noted for brutality, for unjustified arrests, especial of black men. All this apparently common knowledge and longstanding.
So, why isn’t the question how was this state of affairs allowed to exist by the same people now claiming to seek justice? Who is accountable for the police department; the mayor, the police chief? Who elected the officials in Baltimore and Maryland … and reflected them?
