“There is, in my view, massive dissatisfaction in this country today with the corporate establishment and the greed of corporate America in an incredibly unequal distribution of wealth and income, which currently exists,” Sanders said.
Old Bernie is wrong. The dissatisfaction is with the direction of the Country, with Congress and the President … all based on recent surveys. Most Americans aren’t looking for a handout or for their wellbeing to be based on redistributing wealth and income from their more successful peers. When was America ever based on such principles? We provide temporary assistance to those truly in need and opportunity to all others.
We don’t need the likes of Sanders, Warren and others convincing Americans that the secret to a better life is more government redistribution and more programs on which they must depend for their entire lives.
Americans need 21st jobs and the skills to fill them. They need facts and figures and a sense of purpose with long term goals to make better life choices. Promising a more equatable distribution by government provides a false sense of security and discourages initiative and responsibility with that portion of the population needing greater motivation.
Is it government’s job to redistribute wealth? If you answer yes, tell us whose wealth and how much should government take. 😳
