A 2007 study by the Department of :Labor concludes, in part: ” … the differences in the compensation of men and women are the result of a multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify corrective action. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers. …”
Propagandists want to create the impression that there is rampant pay discrimination against women and that we need more laws, including the ability for every worker to learn every other workers pay.
Does some outright discrimination exist? It most likely does (mostly in small companies), but that does not mean there is a nationwide plot to hold down women’s pay or that such discrimination results in a 21% pay gap which is the impression many on the left are trying to create.
Are we really seeking a society where everyone without regard to any variables is paid the same for doing the same job? No seniority, no productivity measure, no performance measure, no extra reward for innovation and initiative?
And no reason to rise above average‼️ Isn’t that how communism was supposed to work?
