According to a new Rasmussen poll, only 17% of Americans feel their children will be better off than they are today. Based on what is going on with the economy and more specifically the tremendous debt burden created in the last several years, I have to add my vote to that tally. In addition, today’s children unlike many Americans in my age group, must fully fund their own retirement, no easy task when you consider that to sustain ones standard of living, 25 times your annual income is needed in a lump sum at the time of retirement.
