This is what you voted for?

This is the dignity that surrounds our Presidency…along with misinformation and lies and falsely taking credit…for just about anything he thinks makes him look good.

Yes, there is inflation. Tariffs have not given us trillions. He has nothing to do with law enforcement or the stock market or 401k accounts.

“The United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight there was.”

Scum seems to be a new favorite word. I wonder if Democrats are considered equal to ISIS in the Presidents mind.

Respected! By whom? He may have the “perhaps like never before” part right though.

Surveys show that a majority of people in many countries have low confidence in Trump’s leadership on world affairs.

  • Across 24–34 countries, a median majority say they lack confidence in Trump’s ability to do the right thing in global issues. Pew Research Center+1
  • Common descriptors in global polls include “arrogant,” “dangerous,” and “strong leader” — yet confidence remains low overall. Axios

🇪🇺 Western Europe

Many Western European publics view Trump negatively:

  • Majorities in countries like France, Germany, Spain, and the UK see Trump as a threat to peace and securityand are skeptical of U.S. leadership under him. The Guardian
  • Polling shows widespread distrust and characterizations of Trump as unreliable or even authoritarian by segments of the population.

Maybe Trump should mention the status of the Social Security and Medicare trusts. Or the failure to address the fundamental need to universal health insurance coverage…..before patting himself on the back.

  1. The crap he spews, no, no one voted for that. But, compared to Hillary Clinton and President Biden and Kamala Harris (none of which, I could ever vote for), yes, a majority of Americans who voted in 2024, voted for Trump (who I didn’t vote for in 2016, 2020 or 2024, and who I could never vote for), in order to:

Close the border President Biden had opened up wide to let millions of people in without knowing much of anything about them,

Yes, for Trump 2, America did vote for removing illegal aliens, perhaps not using all of the methods currently deployed,

Yes, America did vote for something other than “defund the police”, and while some may not have preferred his use of the National Guard, myself included, he obviously wasn’t going to get cooperation from any Democrat in office (with exceptions for New Orleans, so far). Keep in mind no Democratic Mayor or other member of city counsel complained about the national guard deployment to Chicago in 2024 (Democratic national convention) nor to New Orleans (regularly for Mardi Gras).

Yes, America did vote to keep boys and men out of girls and womens sports,

Yes, America did vote for lowering inflation, which has declined almost back to 2020 levels,

Yes, America did vote for ending the war in Gaza,

Yes, America did vote for ending the war in Ukraine, if only through a cease fire (which of course, hasn’t happened yet, despite the Administration’s attempts)

No, America did not vote for Tariffs, they would not vote for anything that would increase their costs in any ways – see Inflation comment above, Note also that most Americans would not have voted in favor of auto and steel and other Tariffs (Reagan and others) had they realized that their costs would go up to protect economically inefficient jobs in America (which was the result)

Yes, America favors striking terrorists who kill Americans on duty in Syria and elsewhere. However, it may be just as many who favor removing Americans from harms way (which seemed to be part of Trump’s pitch in the past).

In terms of stock market and 401k accounts, when you are President, whether those are up or down, you get credit and you get blame. No different from other presidents in the past, including President Biden.

Americans really don’t care what other countries think of us, so long as they fulfill their written commitments, including NATO – which Trump has succeeded like no predecessor when it comes to requiring them to step up and meet their commitments, assist with Ukraine.

When it comes to Social Security and Medicare, the last president to do anything was Reagan, who temporarily resolved the crap created by President Carter with his 1977 amendments. Even the 1983 changes were a temporary fix, and since then, we have had Bush 1, Clinton (two terms), Bush 2 (two terms), Obama (2 Terms), Trump 1, Biden, Trump 2 (one year). Expecting the idiot Trump to solve the issue in less than 12 months of his second terms is stupid. Folks knew in 1983 that it was only a temporary solution, so, at a minimum, every year since (1984 – 2024), that’s 41 years before the idiot Trump 2.

When it comes to health reform, so much of what America is suffering through is the result of Democratic Administration actions – including local and state mandates. Why blame Trump for failing to correct mistakes made by Democrats? Not a single Republican voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, nor did a single Republican vote for the American Rescue Act of 2021 (which gave us the super duper, unnecessary dollop of subsidies for public exchange coverage.

Yes, in actions, America got much of what it voted for. No, most Americans would prefer they take away Trump’s microphone and phone – especially since he will not be running for reelection.

And, that is the problem with voting for president in America, which we noted way back in 2000, one state with a difference of votes of less than 1,000 people (Florida) made all the difference for the next eight years. w confidence in Trump’s leadership on world affairs.

Your comments are simply rants because he has met some, but not all of his promises, and while doing so, he has proved just how much of an idiot ass he really is. Americans would prefer someone with the morals of Carter, and the effectiveness of Reagan, when it comes to pulling us out of economic challenges (in 1980/1981 it was stagflation, in 2022/2024 it was inflation).

You can’t always get what you want, but if you vote sometimes, you get what you need (along with unnecessary griping you don’t need).
