Budget woes looking for better ideas

I haven’t studied the Ryan budget sufficiently to be expert on it, but I am already delighted by the critics.

“It only gives tax breaks to the rich at the expense of the working families” — ignoring that a lower tax rate is accompanied by elimination of many deductions. My favorite so far is that there are no savings in Medicare but rather just cost shifting…you mean just like the Democrats health care reform law does?

Interestingly, Democrats are in the same position as Republicans were on health care reform. If you don’t like the proposal presented, come up with a viable alternative that accomplishes the goal. In this case the goal is to create fiscal solvency out of chaos.

The old standby of get it from the wealthy simply won’t cut it unless you lower the definition of wealthy from $250,000 to $50,000.
