Let’s talk about Iran, Trump logic and truth… which seems to be an oxymoron.

May 8, 2018, Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear agreement — formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Trump called the deal “a horrible one-sided deal.”

Reports said Iran was generally complying with the deal. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran was broadly complying with the nuclear-related terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) before the U.S. withdrew in 2018. It is disputed whether they were fully complying with missile development provisions.

The JCPOA had originally been signed in 2015 between Iran and the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Russia, China, and the European Union under President Obama.

In any case, a skilled negotiator would make the case for any noncompliance and go back to the other countries seeking further negotiations and stricter compliance. But we don’t have a skilled negotiator in charge, we have a malignant narcissist.

June 2025 “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.” DJT. Intelligence agencies say while much was destroyed, the nuclear capacity was set back, but not destroyed as repeatedly claimed. We have an chronic liar and braggart in charge.

Then we started a war, one reason stated “Failure of Diplomacy: The White House framed the military action as a necessary act of deterrence after 47 years of Iranian state-sponsored terrorism and regional aggression, stating that all diplomatic avenues to contain the regime had been entirely exhausted.”

We were also going to change the regime and free the Iranian people – after we bombed them into non-existence of course. The great negotiator in action again.

Now, we are negotiating again after destruction, death and untold billions of American taxes being spent and also used as an excuse to add to the federal deficit to replace military resources.

What really will be interesting to see is if the end game agreement is any better than the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) negotiated by six countries and the EU and how any new agreement will be enforced…. without missiles.

Or, have we merely fed an egomaniacs ego while nothing substantial has changed within Iran or to the betterment of its people?

Keep in mind “success” like the flowing of oil and lower gas prices, maybe food prices, cooling inflation is simply returning to what we had before…correcting the mistakes the incompetent administration made.
