Under a new law passed by Congress the Social Security Administration is changing its benefit claiming language.
early eligibility age is now minimum monthly benefit age
Full retirement age and normal retirement age are the standard monthly benefit age.
Claiming at age 70 is now maximum monthly benefit age.
I’m waiting for the next change…
The trust is insolvent and we can’t pay full benefits becomes we are a little short of cash.

of course, it won’t be the idiot ass Trump (or Clinton, Bush 2, Obama, Trump 1 or Biden either) delivering the insolvency message.
where were your criticisms of all those folks?

If you have been paying attention, I have been criticizing every congress and administration for ten years or more, but now it’s Trump in charge.
Trump has promised to protect SS and his idea of doing that is to cut “fraud and waste” cut staffing at the SSA and a rely on growing economy. He is out of touch with what SS means to most people even though his own cabinet members are trustees and sign the annual report with all its warnings and call to action.
He had four years and now four more to mount an effort for a long-term solution. To take the lead and build the case for meaningful actions, to push Congress in that direction. He has done nothing.
Why? he doesn’t care. The crisis will hit after he is gone and he sure doesn’t want taxes or cuts mentioned before November. And, I suspect, he doesn’t want to be associated with significant changes like Reagan is, even after he is out of office. So, he does nothing and whomever succeeds him, takes the blame – unlikely the credit for “saving” SS.
