Waste and fraud can never be eliminated, but it can be managed. Despite political raving and propaganda about fraud, it is managed.
Fraud associated with government programs is committed by criminal organizations, by some individuals, not by our “government” and far less by program participants. Fraud is uncovered on a regular basis.
Elimination of fraud and waste is not going to make Social Security and Medicare solvent or lower our deficit and debt.
