Children are children under Obamacare. No child has to be “dependent.”

There is a misunderstanding among some people that to be eligible for a parents health insurance a minor child must be dependent on the employee. That used to be the case, but no more. Many employers still use the phrase “dependent children.” That is misleading and confusing and no longer applies in any case.
