Krugman’s world … the kind of government and society we want

From Life news.com

Referencing remarks by Paul Krugman.

We’re going to need more revenue, we’re going to need, and probably in the end, surely in the end it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well. So again, we won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society we want without some increase in taxes, not a huge one, but some increase on taxes on the middle class, maybe a value-added tax….

“The kind of government the society we want?” Exactly what kind of society are we talking about, the kind where more and more people are dependent on more and more programs designed by politicians and run by a massive bureaucracy employing millions of people who have no incentive to care about effectiveness, efficiency or cost? The kind of society where policies are set without regard to the unintended consequences.

Yeah, that kind of society.

So, if that’s the kind of society you want, get ready for higher taxes… for everybody; which means you will have less of your money to spend as you would like … simple equation.

  1. When will people realize that so many entitlement programs are unsustainable? Obama made it even easier to be eligible so more and more people are receiving social security disability! This is bankrupting our nation! My sister’s friend in france was out of work…the government bought him a house! No joke! There has to be an end…
