Rand Paul for President

As I peruse the web I see more reports that Rand Paul is considering running for president (of the United States mind you). Will Republicans or at least non-Democrats ever learn their lesson? If these guys have so much money to waste as they did in the last primary, couldn’t they pay a park ranger’s salary or something else useful?

Despite what you hear on talk radio or Sarah Palin’s Twitter account, this is a center left society that while complaining about taxes, debt and big government, likes its perks and isn’t about to give them up for individual liberty whatever that actually is in the real world.

If Republicans want to run this Country, they better stop talking to each other and listen to real people, but more than that they should observe how real people act despite what they say.

Perhaps we need a new reality show. We could call it Politician Swap or Dancing with the Electorate or maybe The Bitchelor.

  2. Imagine poster Dan missing the point? HELLO!? It’s truly sad to know that there are people in our nation who are that badly misinformed, uninformed and bigoted. The list of Obama’s accomplishments is long and very impressive. Dan could learn a lot more by reading than by typing. Benghazi is a non-issue in the real world. It is only an opportunity for the far right to try to bash Obama and Hillary. They will not succeed as the facts come to light. This nation needs the positive action, enthusiasm and creativity that our president is prescribing. Job-creating repair of our infrastructure, et al. The obstructionist right wingers will suffer when American voters are heard from in 2014! Dan can watch the election results surrounded by his assault rifle collection and his altar to Wayne LaPierre.

    1. This reply is to Mr. Wilson. Please list the many accomplishments of YOUR president Mr. Obama. I am certain it will be complete with substantive issues that are fact based in terms of the real results but I won’t hold my breath. I am almost certain the you voted for this incompetent at least twice and for that you should be ashamed of yourself.. Obama is a disgrace not only to out Nation but to his race. Even I as avowed Conservative, who hoped after the first election that he would live up to the expectations of his followers, find him to be a divisive, incompetent individual who would not be able to run a McDonalds let alone a business as grand and complex as our country.

Relative to Mrs. Clinton, I am certain, will be found to be,at the very least, partially responsible for the deaths of 4 Americans whose care and protection she was in charge of as Sect. of State. Let’s see, can you point out the many successes she had in her Middle East policies for us? To have her become our President would, in my view, be another colossal mistake. One or two terms of the Clintons in the White House would all but seal the fate of the USA and fulfill Obama’s legacy of having us relegated to that of a third world country.

I pray to God that you don’t get your wish. I will again vote for Romney should he run again. At least with him we will have a chance to rebound from the many failures of this administration. I don’t support a Paul candidacy.

  3. I think you miss the point of the post Dan. In the scheme of things Paul has no chance whatsoever. That doesn’t mean Obama is good, it means the Republicans better find a broad based appeal candidate if they want back the White House in a society inundated for four years by liberal rhetoric and class divisiess.

    1. Sorry I missed the point. I looked at it as though you were bashing Paul. I too agree that he does not have much of a chance and I also agree that the Republicans better get off their butts and really search for a candidate that can win in 2016. I also believe that if the Benghazi think goes further and if the truth really comes out that Clinton will have a tough time getting the nod from the Dem’s.

  4. Rand Paul is a political clown act and a down-home Kentucky right-wing nut case. I hope that he does continue his senatorial grandstanding so more people understand what a moron he really is. And, I hope the Tea Party Republican brainless do nominate him. That will ensure a win for the Democrats in 2016. To even raise the issue of such an event demeans the credibility of your blog. Rand Paul’s public statements include his desire to return to the segregation of the 1950’s and he wasn’t even born until 1963?

      1. So Dick, what do you and your respondents have to say about the totally unqualified moron we have for President and the idiot Vice President? It’s easy to bash people but not when you have an empty suit in the Oval Office who just happens to be a Democrat. Paul may not be the best Republican potential candidate but he’s a dam site better that incompetent we have now.

It appears that most of your respondents are left wingers and just reading their comments tells me there not too bright either. Show me something this President has touched and I will show you a failure. I can’t wait to see the results of the current Benghazi investigation. Perhaps the President won’t be President that much longer if it’s proven he lied to the American people and the families of those who died there. Paul is a Saint next to him and I don’t even care for Paul.
