Obama credibility now on the line worldwide

2013

This time it will be a real test for Obama’s penchant for rhetoric. Like most rational people I want to avoid war or even military action of any kind, but at times there are limits because of the long-term consequences of inaction. It appears we are facing one of those moments.

Can the world allow the use of chemical weapons, especially on innocents? Can the world allow such use in the volatile Middle-East? If the Syrian government will use these weapons on its own people, what would it do to the rest of the world? Not even during his worst losing battles did Hitler resort to chemical weapons during WWII.

All evidence says Obama’s red line has been crossed. All evidence says humanity is at risk; now what?

This is the time for Obama and the United States to demonstrate resolve and world leadership.

  1. Let’s study this some more and maybe the rest of the free world will jump in the study group. Meanwhile more innocent people will die as a result of our “leadership”.

I don’t like the thought of war but what will happen if these weapons are turned loose on our “allies” – will that be met with the same complacency? I mean leadership.
