Mr Obama, just shut up already… please

Lets hope not, but by the time you read this the US may have already attacked Syria and Syria attacked Israel and Israel attacked Syria; who the hell knows. Or, nothing happened, or we find out it wasn’t the Syrian government that used WMDs.

One thing is certain though, you shouldn’t draw red lines or lines in the sand or any lines to cross unless you know full well in advance what you will do (exactly) when that line is crossed and in this case you also know exactly what your supposed allies are going to do as well.

Barack Obama rebounding the ball in a game of ...
Hey, it’s not all a game

This President simply talks too much. It’s like his entire self-esteem is based in his flowery rhetoric. And it’s catching, people in his administration can’t keep their mouths shut either.

The world is watching what Obama will do now that his line is crossed and they will again assess the US by his actions. He has created expectations and no matter what, we can’t come out ahead. Drawing that line could have been made known to the right people in the right countries without the public rhetoric.

Now that we are in another mess, you would think it was time to think and keep your mouth shut, but instead big mouths in the administration are all but giving the coordinates for a strike to the targeted. Let’s see, we have four cruisers with sixteen missiles at this location, twenty-five planes here, two carriers there and we will probably strike targets A, B and D first and we will be done in three days so hunker down guys and cover your heads.

Shut up already, rhetoric got us in this mess, more babble won’t help now. Between high-minded talk and selective interpretation of what’s legal we have an interesting leader on our hands. It’s almost like his entire life has been spent doing little but talking … oh, wait.

  1. Dick,

It’s not that he needs to shut up but rather think about what he is saying and how it affects us all before he says it. I believe that all Americans think that Syria has poisoned some if it’s people and therefore should be dealt with very affirmatively. Drawing a line in the sand, having the act take place, waiting to act, then throwing his Sect. of State under the bus and finally waiting for Congress to reconvene on the 9th of Sept so he can blame them if the crap hits the fan for whatever action we take is pure Obama. The man, and I use that work lightly in his case, never takes responsibility for anything. He is the master of the blame game. I think now that ever some Liberals are seeing just what an abject failure this President really is. God help us.

  2. He is trying to show the world that he is a world leader. He couldn’t even come close. The truth is he couldn’t even lead his dog to bowl of water!
