According to the US Department of Labor:
Forward-looking businesses support it because they know it’s part of a sound business model.
“It” of course, is raising the minimum wage. Well, if it’s part of a sound business model, raise the pay of your workers already. You don’t need a law to do that!
Too bad those forward looking business don’t think that way when they cancel pension plans, trim promised benefits, eliminate retiree medical benefits and suspend 401k contributions. Oh, I guess that’s backward looking. LOL 😮

Do you have a list of dol leadership? My bet is that of the top ten leaders at today’s dol, not one has 10 years of private, for profit business experience. Care to wager a beer?

No bet. That’s a sure thing and way beyond DOL too. I marvel at the absurd propaganda style stuff coming out of HHS.

Here is an interesting article on why those forward looking businesses need a minimum wage law instead of just raising wages unilaterally.

Afraid not Mr Wilson, it has nothing to do with a sound business model and raising it won’t lift unskilled workers out of poverty either … as long as they remain unskilled and unprepared for today’s competitive world.
