If you don’t have health insurance and you can’t find anything you can afford, you owe it to yourself and others to enroll in a marketplace plan

2014

Whether you agree with Obamacare or not, if you need health insurance , don’t shoot yourself in the foot by ignoring this enrollment period. 👀

  1. You finally said it all! Having no healthcare insurance can lead to bankruptcy and poverty. Is it not true that citizens can enroll after March 31st and suffer only a later effective date? The PPACA is intricate, complicated and many faceted, but it IS good for America. It is not without flaws, but is better than the status quo. I think Republicans will find it difficult in the 2014 mid term elections campaigning on promises to take away the healthcare insurance that 5,000,000 citizens were just able to purchase under the ACA, promises to take away their children’s’ coverage until age 26 provided by the ACA (13,000 people), promises to allow refusals of coverage for pre-existing conditions which were instituted by ACA, promises to reinstate lifetime coverage caps the were removed by the ACA, et al.
You seem to be a clever guy. Can you tell me what House Republicans hope to accomplish by voting 51+ times to repeal the PPACA knowing full well that the Senate will not pass it and that Obama will veto it?
I guess that was a dumb question because anyone paying attention knows that:
Republicans also OPPOSE Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Head Start, Meals on Wheels, veteran’s benefits, unemployment insurance, reductions in big oil subsidies, a federal minimum wage, infra structure rebuilding jobs programs, labor unions that created the American middle class, retaining manufacturing jobs in the United States, dissolving NAFTA, efforts to stop the TPP, universal voting rights, immigration reform, et al.
Name an issue and, if it doesn’t enrich the ultra wealthy donors to Republican congress members, they are opposed to it. Republican congress members have only one goal and that goal is to please their supporters among “the 1%” so they can be re-elected with huge funding from the puppeteers who have bought and paid for them. Republican congress members don’t give a damn about our people, our nation or our future.
