Why the obsession with “free” birth control?

I hope we can all agree the US is facing many major problems from terrorists to crumbling infrastructure, a sluggish economy, an obesity epidemic affecting health, and much more. Among our critical issues is not “free” contraceptives, and yet this Administration is obsessed with the pill to the point of absurdity.

All this has nothing to do with women’s health. It is a made up issue designed for one purpose only; to get women to vote for Democrats.

Before anyone ever heard of Obamacare, over 90% of employer plans covered contraceptives as any other prescription drug. Medicaid also covered contraceptives for poor women. But merely requiring the drug to be covered was not enough, it had to be “free.” Doesn’t that make you suspicious of the motive in all this❓Doesn’t it make you question who was behind the free part when so many more important drugs are not free❓

Rather than support the Administration, women should be insulted. They are being used as pawns for political gain.

WASHINGTON —

The Obama administration, reeling from back-to-back blows from the Supreme Court this week, is weighing options that would provide contraceptive coverage to thousands of women who are about to lose it or never had it because of their employers’ religious objections.

Still, the administration has another motivation to act as quickly as possible: It is eager to court the votes of women dismayed by the rulings. The Democratic National Committee is already urging voters to fight back against the Hobby Lobby decision and to “stand up for Obamacare” in the November elections.
