Last night NBC broke into their shows to carry the President’s remarks on Iraq aid and possible air strikes. I have no problem with what he said, but the way he said it was disturbing.
He was talking to the American people, not to a room of reporters. He mentioned the American people as he spoke, but not once did he look at the camera facing him, not once did he attempt to “look” at the audience he was addressing.
Rather he constantly turned his head side to side as if he were speaking before a group seated in front of him. It was quite obvious. I don’t know what to read into such a communication, but it didn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling of engagement with his audience or honesty. Something is truly different with this President.
With regard to Iraq, once again the naivety of the liberal left is shaken by reality.

Dick, Liars can not look anyone in the eye. That is a proven fact. I do disagree (surprise) with your comment that you don’t disagree with what he said regarding Iraq. We DO NOT need to get involved again. Let them fight their own battles as they have for the last 5000+ years. This is a no win situation just like Afghanistan. There is nothing that will solve this dispute. Let them blow the crap out of each other. Only positive is that BO can’t blame this on Bush or any other Republican. This is HIS doing.

I wish we could simply ignore them all and let them destroy one another, but unfortunately the world today is a small place and this radicalism is all over. I don’t know the ultimate solution, but I don’t think we can leave it unchecked given their goals and how far they are willing to go to achieve them.

I am wrong? Did you watch him? Is that what you expect of a President speaking to the American people? What about the fundamental issue of Iraq? Did he simply leave the Country and create a worse situation for the people that we are now paying for?
