What happened to defined benefit pensions? Get a job with government‼️

The traditional pension or defined benefit pension has gone the way of the DoDoBird, except among government workers. For the most part pensions in the private sector were buried under regulations and accompanying costs.

While most public employees contribute toward their pensions, the resulting benefit is nearly twice that of the public sector. An interesting conundrum for taxpayers is it not, especially considering that all those with a pension from the private sector are helping to pay for public pensions.
