Don’t you just hate it when those darned billionaires do this kind of thing?

The billionaire Paul G. Allen said on Thursday that he would donate $100 million to the fight against Ebola, which has killed almost 5,000 people so far and crippled Western Africa.

The amount roughly quadruples his earlier commitment of about $26 million to nonprofit groups and government agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, making him one of the largest individual donors in the Ebola crisis. (New York Times 10-24-2014)

  1. Isn’t it wonderful, Mr. Quinn, when one of your right wing idols actually does something right for the nation and the world rather than stashing their riches in foreign bank accounts to avoid paying taxes to the USA? This is well worth your headline supporting the American oligarchy, as you do so often, because it so rarely happens. Good for you seizing the moment as it quickly passes by. However, that does not change the Republican distain for “the 47%” which clearly translates to, “If you’re not rich like me, you’re shiftless ,worthless and lazy”.

    1. Once again you rely on generalities and misinformation. While Allen does not give to political causes directly, his companies did make a few hundred thousand in political contributions … to Democrats. How in the world do you equate wealth with the right wing?
